Many People in Rise of Nations enjoy creating a powerful colonial empire. Some people colonize the entire African continent. Others put colonies on every continent. This is a list of countries in every continent good for colonizing if you want to have a colony on nearly every continent.

Antarctica will not be mentioned on this page since it is considered a country itself and there aren't other countries in the continent.

Also, if you have a large enough military, you could storm the one-city countries such as San Marino without artillery; however this page will be focusing on countries that are easy to take even with a smaller military.

If you start off as a landlocked country, it is a wise decision to conquer countries that have access to the coast, it makes colonization on other continents much easier.

Continents

North America

The most optimal region in North America is the Caribbean or Central America, especially Panama, where they have access to the canal. Just be wary of the United States, as they may be provoked if you begin to invade regions close to their territory.

South America

If Brazil wants to ruin the fun of having a colony in South America , you are out of luck, but best best countries to start colonizing in South America are the Venezuela and Colombia.

Europe

There are not much places to invade in Europe if you are solely looking for resource-rich regions, besides Scandinavia, but it is quite difficult to invade it especially during winter. If you just want to chaos, then begin invading Western Europe, such as France, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy.

Africa

If you want to colonize in Africa , get the gold coast, as the region is bountiful in resources, most notably Phosphate. Other countries with valuable resources include:

• Morocco, Algeria , and Tunisia - Extremely rich in phosphate, Oil, and Iron; however, France, Spain, and Egypt usually invade these countries.
• South Africa - The most resource-rich country in Africa, as it holds massive reserves of Tungsten, Titanium, Diamond, Gold, iron, and Copper.
• Sierra Leone - A large producer of Titanium.
• Madagascar - If Sierra Leone is taken, then Madagascar is also a good option.
• Nigeria - The most populated country in Africa, but it lacks natural resources.
• Egypt - Like South Africa and Nigeria, it is rich is in phosphate and population, especially when it holds the Suez Canal.

Asia

Middle East

The only good countries in the Middle East are Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt, especially Saudi Arabia as it is the most resource-rich country in terms of Oil. Iran can also be good, but is a burden to invade the country, as it is mostly covered in rough, Mountainous landscapes.

Central Asia

By far one of the richest resource-regions in not only Asia, but in the entire world. Excluding Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are the two main countries that make Central Asia a very resource-rich place. Not only it is renowned for its resources, but its known for its diverse and Mountainous geography, especially in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, which can repel an offensive during war.

However, despite Central Asia being very resource-rich, it is mainly conquered by China and Russia during the early game.

South Asia

The only good countries to invade this region are Pakistan, Bangladesh, or AI-controlled India, or if the India player is a newbie, then you can invade them.

Southeast Asia

There are not much valuable countries to invade this region, besides Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia.

Oceania

Australia is the only good country in Oceania, since it is relatively resource-rich and it is isolated from the rest of the world.
