The Sultanate of Zanzibar was a historical state located in East Africa, specifically on the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba, and other smaller surrounding islands. It existed from the 19th century until 1964 when it was overthrown during the Zanzibar Revolution.

The Sultanate of Zanzibar was officially established in 1856 by Sultan Said bin Sultan, who moved his capital from Oman to Zanzibar. The sultanate became a major center for the Arab slave trade and the export of cloves, ivory, and other commodities.

Under subsequent rulers, Zanzibar experienced economic prosperity and cultural development. The sultans maintained close ties with European powers, particularly the British, who established a consulate on the islands. Zanzibar became a British protectorate in 1890, although it retained a degree of autonomy under the sultans.

In 1963, the Sultan of Zanzibar, Sultan Jamshid bin Abdullah, was overthrown in a revolution led by a local political party called the Afro-Shirazi Party (ASP). The revolution aimed to end the sultanate's rule and establish an independent Zanzibar. The newly formed government proclaimed the People's Republic of Zanzibar and Pemba.

Strategy

Build 2 electronic factories and research factory output 2. Then justify a war goal on Madagascar. While the factories are building, purchase 2 copper and 2 gold, then build your army up to around 70k infantry. Once the factories are done, sell electronics to as many nations as possible (5 each). Declare war on Madagascar and use AI luring to kill the units. Make sure to use AI luring on all AI countries. Once Madagascar has capitulated, take 75% of their treasury and resources along with annexing all of their territory. Next, justify a war goal on Tanzania and Kenya. Recruit a General for your army and make an army group. Make sure to put all existing and new units into the group you assigned your General to. Make 30k new infantry units and declare war on Tanzania. Once you win the war, you can either take all of their land or only the land you need for the formable. Repeat the process on Kenya. After you form, it is recommended that you attack some stronger African nations like Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, or other bordering nations. If possible, you could invade mainland africa.
