— Description of forming Sumerian Empire |
The Sumerian Empire was a formable of Kuwait. It requires you to take
Iraq and
Syria.
It borders Turkey,
Iran,
Saudi Arabia,
Jordan,
Israel and
Lebanon.
Background[]
Sumer is the earliest known civilization in the historical region of southern Mesopotamia (now southern Iraq), emerging during the Chalcolithic and early Bronze Ages between the sixth and fifth millennium BC. It is also one of the first civilizations in the world, along with Ancient Egypt, Norte Chico, Minoan civilization, Ancient Ur-Nammu also did the considerable work of constructing an organized and complicated legal code that is considered the first in history. Its purpose was to ensure that everyone in the kingdom, no matter what city they lived in, received the same justice and punishments, rather than rely on the whims of individual governors.
In 2004 B.C., the Elamites stormed Ur, an ancient Sumerian city, and took control. At the same time, Amorites had begun overtaking the Sumerian population. The ruling Elamites were eventually absorbed into Amorite culture, becoming the Babylonians and marking the end of the Sumerians as a distinct body from the rest of Mesopotamia. In the modern day, descendants of the Sumerians now exist under the name of Marsh Arabs |
Terrain and Biomes[]
Most of the Sumerian Empire is flat and Arid, with the exception of the hilly region in Eastern Iraq.
Economy/Manpower[]
The Sumerian Empire makes a base income of $1,474,946. $1,230,129 comes from tax, and $244,817 is earned from the resources. It boasts a maximum manpower of 549,172, with an increase of 2,000.
Resources[]
The Sumerian Empire outputs +24.75 oil and +3.00 phosphate.
Strategy[]
Forming the Sumerian Empire is somewhat a difficult task, as both Iraq and
Syria have much more of a population and military than you. Luckily, you are blessed with a 1M city; Kuwait City. There is also the added threat of
Saudi Arabia,
Egypt, and
Turkey trying to take Sumerian lands to make their own formables.
- It is possible that all three threat nations of
Saudi Arabia,
Egypt, and
Turkey, are all controlled by players. If this is the case, try to ally all three of them, or at least two of them to defend you if one of these nations attempt to attack you.
- If
Iraq and/or
Syria are controlled by players, ask for help from your allies (if they accepted) of
Saudi Arabia,
Turkey, and
Egypt, and ask them to give you the lands once taken.
- Build 2-3 electronic factories to get your income increased greatly.
- Purchase a total of 2 motor parts and 0.50 steel for the production of tanks. Since
Kuwait starts with about 2 units of oil per turn, you would be able to support two divisions of tanks. They will be very useful for capturing
Iraq and
Syria quickly. Buy more of these resources if you want to invade with more than 1k tanks.
- Justify first on
Iraq, and send all your troops to capture the city nearest the border of
Kuwait. They should have entrenched themselves by the time the Iraqi troops arrive, and your 80k troops and 400 tanks will have no trouble destroying the home guard. If necessary, produce artillery for backup. Form a line with your tanks and sweep through
Iraq.
- Next, use your army to steamroll through
Syria.
- Annex all of the cities from
Iraq and
Syria once they have collapsed.
- Congratulations, you have formed the Sumerian Empire!
- If you want, you can go on expanding across the Middle East and potentially form
Bani Utbah.
