— Description of forming Swedish Empire |
The Swedish Empire is a formable located in Scandinavia and the Baltics. It is formed by Sweden and requires
Finland,
Estonia, and
Latvia to be formed.
It was first released on May 8, 2019, before tweaked to the suggestion made by para on May 9, 2019. The new Swedish Empire was released on January 15, 2020, however the suggestion omitted Norway and
Denmark from the actual empire. The Swedish Empire borders Norway,
Lithuania,
Russia, and
Belarus.
The title Carolean is attainable by forming this in a public server.
The Swedish Empire is a pretty rare formable to come across in public servers, this is due to the fact that not many people play Sweden or
Russia often takes
Estonia,
Latvia and sometimes
Finland to form either the
Russian Empire or
Soviet Union. However, a good player forming the Swedish Empire is able to easily become a great power by conquering the other Nordic nations and colonizing in other continents to grow their power behind the scenes. The Swedish Empire also has a very good modifier, helping it in deterring invasions from other powers.
Background[]
The Swedish Empire was a European great power that exercised territorial control over much of the Baltic region during the 17th and early 18th centuries. The beginning of the empire is usually taken as the reign of Gustavus Adolphus, who ascended the throne in 1611, and its end as the loss of territories in 1721 following the Great Northern War. After the death of Gustavus Adolphus in 1632, the empire was controlled for lengthy periods by part of the high nobility, such as the Oxenstierna family, acting as regents for minor monarchs. The interests of the high nobility contrasted with the uniformity policy (i.e., upholding the traditional equality in status of the Swedish estates favored by the kings and peasantry). In territories acquired during the periods of de facto noble rule, serfdom was not abolished, and there was also a trend to set up respective estates in Sweden proper. The Great Reduction of 1680 put an end to these efforts of the nobility and required them to return estates once gained from the crown to the king. Serfdom, however, remained in force in the dominions acquired in the After the victories in the Thirty Years' War, the Swedish Empire reached the climax of the great-power era during the Second Northern War, when its primary adversary, Denmark–Norway, was neutralized by the Treaty of Roskilde in 1658 (this is when the Swedish Empire was at its largest extent). However, in the further course of this war, as well as in the subsequent Scanian War, the Swedish Empire was able to maintain its empire only with the support of its closest ally, France. Charles XI of Sweden consolidated the empire. But a decline began with his son, Charles XII. After initial Swedish victories, Charles secured the empire for some time in the Peace of Travendal (1700) and the Treaty of Altranstädt (1706), before the disaster that followed the king's war in

Economy and Manpower[]
The Swedish Empire has an economy of around 550,000 dollars without upgrading tax and developing cities. The Swedish Empire has a small manpower capacity for its size at 160,886 due to underpopulated areas, along with an increase of around 920 without conscription laws and recruitment centers.

Strategy[]
Industrialization Setup for Sweden's Swedish Empire[]
Welcome to the industrialization plan for the future Swedish Empire of Sweden. This strategy is designed to secure the consumer goods upkeep and industrial capacity required to sustain and grow your formable even before it is officially formed.
Consumer Goods Upkeeping[]
Getting started with your formable's industrialization is key. For the Swedish Empire of Sweden, you need to maintain 8.09 Consumer Goods, which we've rounded up to 40 Consumer Goods. To do this, you'll need:
- 1
Electronics Factory
- 1
Steel Manufactory
- 1
Motor Parts Factory
- 1
Fertilizer Factory
- 1
Consumer Goods Factory
At the start, you'll experience shortages due to your natural resource production, so be sure to import:
Aircraft Manufactory Construction[]
Building an air force for the Swedish Empire is crucial. You will need:
At the start, you'll also experience shortages for this, so be sure to import:
With these steps done, your basic industrialization setup for the Swedish Empire will be good to go.
Trade Note: While Sweden naturally produces Copper (+2.1), Gold (+1.1), Iron (+1), Oil (+2.44), and Tungsten (+1.22), be prepared to trade for the additional resources needed (especially Phosphate, Titanium, Aluminum, and Chromium) to fully support your industrial and military production.
it is advised to ally Russia, due to Russia needing
Estonia and
Latvia to form the
Soviet Union, along with
Finland to form the
Russian Empire. You can ally them and ask for control over the Baltics and Finland, or at the very least bargain with him. If all plans to discuss fail, you can ally other strong nations such as the
US,
China, or
Germany. After that you can invade the Baltics and Finland and provoke Russia to declare war on you. You could also just rush in and take the countries and hope Russia is too slow to realize that you have taken them.
If you choose to go to war with Russia, it is advised to build a lot of artillery and tanks due to Sweden's geographic position. It is also strongly advised you build warships in the Baltic Sea. In the meantime, you can attempt to capture all of Russia's port cities in the Baltic Sea and burning them to stop Russia from ever making ships in the Baltics.
Once you slowly kill the Russian troops, you can choose to charge in with yourself and allies or remain in a defensive posture. If you choose to attack, it is advised to take as many Russian cities that can make tanks, reducing their tank output and capturing cities with factories and deleting them, and if you get pushed back, burn as much land as you can to make a Russian counterattack more difficult.
Remember to always check your trade deals and economy, and to also ask for help. You are a minor power; it isn't shameful to ask and rely on help from someone else.
