Decision Description	Although the Arabs have come to dominate Northern Africa in modern times, with the ignorant West going so far as to call the region part of the ‘Arab World', these lands once belonged to another people; to the Berbers of Tamazgha. While we have been scattered and separated by our oppressive Arab governments, we have never forgotten our legacy, swearing one day to reclaim the lands that are rightfully ours. Now, that day has come, as with the lands of the former ‘Arab World' returned to their true Berber rulers, the time has come to restore the glory of Tamazgha to the world!

Tamazgha is a formable for four releasables, Rif, Kabylia, Azawad, and Agadez. It is located in North Africa and was added in an update on November 11th, 2022.

Background

Tamazgha is a toponym in Berber languages denoting the lands traditionally inhabited by Berbers and which can also mean lands of the Imaziɣen in northern Africa. The region encompasses the geographical area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Niger River, a large swathe of territory spanning Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Egypt, the Western Sahara, the Canary Islands, Burkina Faso and Senegal.

Although the Berber linguistic root M-Z-Ɣ or Z-Ɣ is ancient, Tamazɣa as a toponym is derived from various Berber languages, coined in the context of Berber nationalism. It appeared for the first time in Algeria and Morocco in the 1970s.

The most densely populated areas of the Tamazgha are the coastal fertile regions of northern Libya, northern and eastern Tunisia, northern Algeria, northern Morocco, and the Atlantic coast of Morocco. "Tamazgha" corresponds roughly to Herodotus' Ancient Libya and to the medieval Barbary Coast.

The term is used by the Berbers because there was not originally a common word that refers to all the geographical territory inhabited by the Mazices, since the Berber people live in several Berber countries, and they are not united politically, with many scattered around the World by the Berber diaspora. So, the name has been created to define an Berber nation, and unify the people of the Tamazgha with their original culture.

The term has been translated into Spanish as Mazigia, abbreviated as MZG and used as an alternative international license plate code for some people.

The vast majority of the formable lays on Arid biome, that's in the Sahara desert. Only north of the country, being Morocco and northern Algeria has no biome, Morocco.006 and Morocco.005 being Arid.

Tamazgha's terrain is Hilly on Algeria's coast and the east of Tunisia, it is Semi-Mountainous below the coast, It continues to be Hilly until Rif, Morocco.017, Morocco.015 and Morocco.018 are all Semi-Mountainous, Morocco.008 is Mountainous, With Morocco.007 being Semi-Mountainous neighboring Morocco.006 to the south which is Hilly.

Strategy

Start of as Rif. Build one electronic factory and create an army. Since you are stranded between Spain, Morocco and Algeria you should create an army as soon as possible. Jusitfy on Gibraltar if not already taken. once you have taken Gibraltar you should move onto Malta and Tunisia. Invade Libya, giving you two angles to attack Algeria from. Recruit at least 40k infantry (with Military Doctrines) in both Rif and Libya/Tunisia. This should be enough but if you want to be extra confident you could make Artillery or also invade from Malta. Once you have taken Algeria, start producing Consumer Goods to sell. You should now expand your army, making you strong enough to combat Morocco. Make the required factories to make Tanks to defend against Spain if needed. From here you can swiftly take the rest of the countries required to form Tamazgha.
