| — Description of forming Tuareg State |
The Tuareg State was a formable of Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Algeria and Tunisia in West Africa. It was comprised mainly of countries in the Sahel region. It was removed from the game on the update of November 11, 2022, along with many other African formables.
Background[]
The Tuareg people are a large Berber ethnic confederation. They principally inhabit the Sahara in a vast area stretching from far southwestern Libya to southern Algeria, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso. Traditionally nomadic pastoralists, small groups of Tuareg are also found in northern Nigeria.
The Tuareg speak languages of the same name (also known as Tamasheq), which belong to the Berber branch of the Afroasiatic family.
The Tuaregs have been called the "blue people" for the indigo dye colored clothes they traditionally wear and which stains their skin. A semi-nomadic Muslim people, they are believed to be descendants of the Berber natives of North Africa. The Tuareg have been one of the ethnic groups that have been historically influential in the spread of Islam and its legacy in North Africa and the adjacent Sahel region.
Tuareg society has traditionally featured clan membership, social status and caste hierarchies within each political confederation. The Tuareg have controlled several trans-Saharan trade routes and have been an important party to the conflicts in the Saharan region during the colonial and post-colonial era.
Terrain[]
The Terrain was hilly in the north of Algeria and Tunisia and was semi mountainous in Morocco with a blob of hills. Otherwise, the country was flat.
Economy and Manpower[]
The Tuareg state generates around $1,600,000. A good chunk of it comes from resources as Algeria and Tunisia are resource-rich.
The Tuareg State also has a manpower cap of 470,606. The manpower gain was 3025.
Strategy[]
Forming Tuareg State was difficult if France or Italy are experienced players.
The easiest country to form it with was Algeria. First, invade Tunisia and then invade Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso.
Threats[]
- Any nation trying to form the Saharan Kingdom . (Fairly rare)
- Any nation in the Arab League (especially Egypt) trying to take Algeria and Tunisia.
- Quite a few nations will want Tunisia for resources.
- Italy if they decide to expand South.
It's easiest to use infantry, as tanks will die of attrition. Make sure not to lose all your army due to attrition, as it will enable France or Italy to defeat you.
