Roblox Rise of Nations Wiki

The United Kingdom is a Tier V island nation located in Western Europe , more specifically the British Isles.

The United Kingdom is known to be one of the most powerful nations in Europe, since it is an island and significantly populated with an abundance of large cities, which provides the capability of securing naval dominance, deterring foreign threats from reaching its homeland. However, a poorly managed UK could end up succumbing from its rivaled neighbors, eventually collapsing and losing all of its cored releasables.

Base Statistics[]

Economy[]

The United Kingdom has a beginning income of $2,422,148, with $2,209,231 generating from taxes and $212,917 stemming from resource production. However, since it begins with a military upkeep due to its starting home guard, it upgrades the national expenses through increasing the military upkeep by $320,000, which deducts its final balance to $2,102,148.

Resources[]

United Kingdom does not generate many natural resources; however, it produces a small amount of Tungsten, and upon completion of a mine, it produces enough to maintain a motor factory.

Geography[]

Terrain[]

The United Kingdom is almost completely flat in the game, however, up north lies the Scottish Highlands which make Scotland entirely Semi-Mountainous.

Biomes[]

The United Kingdom has no permanent biome. However, Scotland has Mild Winter during the months of November and February, while in December and January, it receives Severe Winter. During the latter mentioned months, the rest of the UK experiences Mild Winter.

Borders[]

The United Kingdom only borders one nation: Ireland, located across the Irish Sea. However, Britain also borders the English Channel to its south and the North Sea to its East and North.

Cities[]

The territory of the United Kingdom contains 56 cities. The most important, populous, and the capital city, is London. Some of the major British cities include, but are not limited to: Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, and Sheffield.

Politics[]

Ideology[]

The United Kingdom starts with the Non-Aligned ideology.

Formables[]

The United Kingdom is able to form four formables, these formables being:

Releasables[]

Balkanized UK

The United Kingdom with all of its releasables released.

The United Kingdom has 6 releasables:

Threats[]

The United Kingdom may not experience a variety of threats as it is known to be one of the strongest countries within the region, however, it is consistently challenged by its European neighbors.

  • France is the foremost threat to the United Kingdom, as it is needed to form the Franco-British Union.
  • Germany is one of the most powerful countries in Western Europe, and it could expand towards the British Isles in order to achieve more territory outside of continental Europe.
  • Italy requires the United Kingdom to form the Roman Empire.
  • Norway may annex the United Kingdom as it is a required country to form the North Sea Empire.
  • Although not as common, the United States may establish a foothold in Europe by invading the entirety of the British Isles. If they however avoid the United Kingdom as its first target, they may create several nearby bases to launch an impending amphibious assault.
  • Ireland forming the Celtic League.

Strategies[]

To start with, the United Kingdom is an island country, separated from the rest of Europe, and so it is one of the easiest countries to defend, just behind Iceland. As Britain, you should start with conquering Ireland and Isle of Man to eliminate the available footholds on the British Isles. This allows for some early money, which you can then use for the next steps.

Starting Moves[]

First, build 2-3 electronics factories, research your factory output, and sell as many Electronics to rich AI nations. Next, build a steel, motor, and fertilizer factory, not for building tanks, as they will be mostly obsolete for this strategy, but to supply your civilian factories, which will improve your stability. After the construction of the first three factories, build as many civilian factories as necessary for your stability. Meanwhile, send 100k troops to Denmark, then the Faroes.

Invasion of Norway[]

If Norway is AI[]

An AI Norway won't be a problem for the United Kingdom. After this, things get a bit tricky. It is imperative you spam troops and use up your manpower reserves for your Norwegian invasion, as they perform the best in its harsh geography. Once they spawn, train these troops to fight in the winter. Also, you should definitely research into the mobility of your infantry, and/or hire a general that offers a movement buff, but it is recommended to make sure they don't have a debuff aswell. Then, move all your troops to the western Norwegian coastline. Form a line with these troops, so you can reach as many parts as possible of Norway as fast as possible. If you need to, recruit more troops, and strategically send them to any areas and cities your previous units are struggling to capture due to them being most likely wearied and beaten by the invasion. Repeat this process, and force peace Norway.

If Norway is a Player[]

If Norway is a player, then do everything explained above, except blockade with battleships first, so whenever they make new troops, they will instantly be bombarded. Also, have a unit of many infantries attack the weakened Norwegians defending Oslo, and take the capital, which could make them rage quit, or if not, at least severely weaken their war effort.

The Invasion of Iceland[]

Iceland is a fairly easy to country to conquer but is very tedious and time consuming due to its geography, so it won't make much of a difference whether you use infantry or tanks. For the first three southern cities, it is recommended to capture them purely with infantry. For the northern city, Akureyi, it is recommended to use a single tank unit for this, as likely due to a bug, your tanks will stop taking attrition, and will be reduced 47 of them, which is barely enough to capture Akureyi. While your tanks were travelling to Akureyi, your infantry will have likely captured the southern cities by now, and it will just be a matter of waiting to capture Akureyi.

After annexing all required countries, you can bring back the once lost Viking Age, and form the North Sea Empire!

Franco-British Union[]

This strategy is concentrated on dominating France and forming the Franco-British Union.

Right when you join the game, immediately build 1 steel motor, electronic, and fertilizer factory. Then, justify conquest wars on the two island nations of Guernsey and Jersey. Although not necessarily needed for the formable, they will give you 150 million dollars in total. If France invades them first, peace the countries out first after France has conquered them, so you still gain the money. This also puts France at a slight disadvantage.

After you've invaded the two micronations, immediately build 2-3+ civilian factories depending on policies and research. Sell your consumer goods to other AI nations to gain a decent economy, and in turn, build up a large military.

If France is an AI, send around 300,000 troops with support ships on the coastlines, and take it to form the Franco-British Union, by using AI Luring.

If France is a player, then get a foothold on the Benelux, as getting a base in the European mainland is crucial for invasion of France. If France or another country has already taken the Benelux, instead focus on mobilizing troops on Great Britain and building aircraft and naval units to aid the future invasion. Allies are also important during war; if France has allies, then be wary of declaring war, as an allied intervention may summon.

Craft some destroyers to bombard the coast of France, and 1 or 2 submarines and if absolutely necessary, around 2 attackers or more to prevent a French naval invasion. Once naval supremacy has been established, send a large division of tanks on the northern coastlines of France. With naval supremacy, ground invasion should be undemanding. Attempt to occupy Paris, the capital of France, to destroy their stability, circulate a line, and blitzkrieg through their territory, while constructing co-existing tanks to transport to their homeland.

British Empire[]

The United Kingdom isn't a very powerful country in Manpower and Money, though it is powerful when combined with proper navies.

First thing the player should focus on is getting some good trades up and running, the player will use the income from these trades to make their research spending and government spending higher, it is recommended to go Communist. In the early part of the game the player should start focusing on colonies since establishing colonies can give the player resources, manpower and tax income.

The player should also try to use the research speedrun strategy, where the player would accept the researcher event and up their research spending to max, and focus on the Technology tree until they get to quantum computing tech.

Of course, the player should get a decently sized navy up and running to protect from Germany, France, Italy and Russia If you're lucky, these nations may not attack you.

Now that the player has pretty good research gains, The player should focus on factory, resource, naval, aerial, infantry, tank, support and tax income research. This will help the player later on fighting countries like India, United States, and China.

Firstly, you should invade France and Ireland to form the Angevin Empire.

With your new resources, you should seek to build a large amount of Consumer Goods factories to boost your economy, then sell them to major democratic nations such as India and Japan.

Then, the player should expand into the Middle East as it has high oil deposits and can be a strategically good position against the Soviet Union and India. the player is advised to stop expanding when they reach Iran as anything past that will get India hostile on the player and can start an early war which will be bad. It is HIGHLY recommended that the player uses tanks while traveling in any hard terrain. If there are players in the Middle East, it's advised to either go defensive or naval, with Egypt, the player should go naval as it's far away. With a defensive standpoint, use forts, generals and technology.

After the player has done this they should probably go and tackle India, it is highly advised at this point that the player has a big navy, and a huge arsenal of Artillery, Tanks and Infantry. The player should also build forts to protect and buff Unit defense. Now, the best thing the player should do is position their navy to attack India's and start naval bombarding India's army reserves with Aircraft Carriers. If the player is successful in exhausting India then they can start invading them. if successful, you've done the biggest part of the formable.

There are 3 scenarios here.

Canada Scenario 1: Canada is taken by the United States[]

It is recommended to heavily prepare for this one, you should station armies and forts near the territory that is near the player's territory. Then it is also recommended to have setup a steady Base near Mexico or in Brazil. Though, if the player is bad, you can utilize a capital snipe with transport aircraft, taking out the enemy capital. Then, you wait for the releaseables. You most likely already took the Carribean, though.

Now, of course you should most likely go on the offensive as you should have India at this point.

Canada Scenario 2: Canada is AI and is not taken[]

This is the easiest one, just use the strategy called AI Luring and make sure the United States doesn't steal Canada.

Canada Scenario 3: Canada is a player and is not taken[]

This can be easy and can also be hard. If Canada conquered the United States somehow then refer to Scenario 1. If they haven't defeated the United States and have conquered other things, it's best to navally beat them and land troops on their mainland to take it over.

Canada Scenario 4: Canada is taken, skilled US player[]

The player would likely realize you would attempt to ally with fellow Europowers like France, Spain, Germany, Turkey, and Italy, and even Russia and Poland, as well as other nations such as China, Japan, or more uncommonly, Brazil and Mexico, due to their proximity making them an arguably bigger threat, though in the latter's case, it is an immediate threat to America regardless of their skill. If they expect a war over Canada, it is likely if they wish to defend their territory from any external power from taking it from them, no matter the future intent. It is likely they are ready to make this war extremely unfavorable at a high expense for both sides; it is unlikely a victory is possible unless nuclear weapons are used - even then, the US player would likely be on their way to produce their own nuclear arsenal, thereby leveling the playing field.

However, if they do not have a huge naval force, it is recommended to amass a coalition navy to destroy what they have. Start by producing 16 destroyers and 5-6 battleships - escort those with 1 or 2 aircraft carriers and finish it off with a few submarines. It is recommended that due to the proximity between you and the East Coast that you coordinate heavily with your allies for full effectiveness. This naval force should be yours to command, not from other nations - order them to build their own navy should the situation require it, but beware your oil and steel supplies.

Then, build steel factories, and should you see it necessary to maintain stability, electronics, motor, and consumer factories. The number of factories should equate to your required resource output; in other words, build as many factories as you can, but keep your consumption of required resources below their output. You can, however, have very small deficits if your stockpiles are very large in turn.

Once your allies have built a naval force, ask Japan and/or China to build their own to assault the west coast, as well as order the Europeans to follow suit on the East. Though difficult to actually pull off, having a coalition navy to destroy the US's own will be a tremendous benefit, as they are but one and you are many. Even harder, however, is full coordination between such a large alliance. Though favorable, it would be hard to simultaneously assault both coasts of the US, especially for the Sino-Japanese as they must also contend with potential forces in Alaska and certainly Hawaii.

As for you and the other Europowers, immediately after building your navy, build up several divisions of 500k soldiers accompanied by a few artillery divisions each. These will spearhead any offensives into the United States. Do not hold back on your manpower usage, as not only is the United States a gargantuan country by now, easily the largest in the world, they also have an equally massive manpower pool to draw from that greatly dwarfs every member of your alliance. Do not feel ashamed to call upon your allies to donate manpower or money to you, as after all you are allies tackling a massive foe who stands in the way of British hegemony over the world.

Send your navy and army forces towards the East Coast once you are ready. Although Canada is literally the reason why you are at war, hitting the American homeland is far more important to force them to collapse/surrender. Send 2-4 divisions to strike New York, Miami, and Boston, as these will greatly damage the coast-based abilities of the United States. However, it is likely they are guarded by large forces, so wear them down with artillery and naval power, provided your navy successfully neutralized the Americans'.

They may be willing to sacrifice the large cities to you, or use scorched earth tactics. This, however, would gravely harm their economy. It is best to strike deeper, though taking Washington would likely be of little use, as a strategic US player would move their capital to Chicago and navally fortify the region. Possibly with air power, as well - if this is true, immediately assemble an aerial production line and produce a few fighters and bombers should that be necessary. Attackers and transports would also be favorable, as it would grant your troops incredible mobility, but skyrocket vulnerability.

The US player would likely have set up counters to anything you can throw at them, so this war will be rather gruesome - most players would be unwilling to do so and start again in a different server. Thankfully, however, this is an extremely rare occurrence, though for many, a terrifying threat to have a brilliant warmonger loom over the world.

Some million-population cities such as Charlotte, Jacksonville, and Providence may be able to yield a beachhead, so be sure to entrench artillery and troops there. As said earlier, always send more and more forces no matter the deficit (unless you are in debt). The US is able to replenish their losses much easier and faster than your alliance, so keep that in mind as you keep on sending reinforcements. The faster you can strike, the better.

Immediately also try to ally Brazil and Mexico, as their much closer proximity will be of great help, especially the latter's as it will not only distract the US, but also help lay the groundwork and foundation for a Sino-Japanese assault on the Western lands of the US. They are largely incapable of the same things Europowers or the Sino-Japanese are able to do, but nonetheless what powers they can yield to your service will aid in the effort. Just tell all your allies not to attack Canada - that'd be unfortunate if you didn't have it.

Once the American forces are worn down a little more, strike more cities with a few million people if possible, as it will cause unrest, instability, and war exhaustion. One advantage you have over the Americans are the several releasable nations within the overall nation, Canada and its own releaseables included - compared to the war, this is an acceptable price to pay. Do not move your forces unless absolutely necessary, or if it is a bait and switch maneuver. An envious and level-headed player however may simply stand there and wait for a good opportunity to counterattack.

Once you have upwards of ~5 million soldiers across your alliance inside the US, begin to flank, encircle, and destroy any US troop emplacements - be sure to also accompany your advancements with artillery and possibly aircraft (should you need such). Once China and Japan, by Mexico, Russia, and Brazil, it might be game over for the US as releaseable provinces begin to break away. To them, however, they are not defeated until they proclaim it themselves, but regardless, they might wish to negotiate terms.

Annex all of Canada as it is required - if you really want to make them pay, order the division and annexation of the entirety of the United States. If any of your allies have Canadian cities, ask to purchase the required cities from them. If you've done everything right, you should now have won World War Three and grounded the soaring Bald Eagle. Congratulations.
