An updated version of User blog:Piteous/Editing Nationdata or Tiledata.
Requirements[]
- Check if you are staff or are a wiki helper. If you aren't either, please don't edit the module period unless you gain the approval of a staff member who will supervise you.
- Have an unchanged V.I.P. server with 0 people or have game moderator privileges in a server with 0 people.
Procedures[]
The following also applies to gathering information in general.
Dealing with Population Growth[]
- Turn off population growth immediately! Population growth has to be turned off before January 5th which is possible if you load fast and do it in the private server console before the time loads in.
- Double check if population growth has changed by clicking on Paris. It should have exactly 9,904,000 population.
- If successful, best to save the map for future use (Don't use the same map for different updates)
Collecting Data from Nations and Releasables[]
- Cede the whole world to any nation. The nation must be Non-Aligned, have the default Volunteer Conscription Law and be at 50% stability.
- Select all core cities of the nation.
- Most of the information required can be accessed in the bottom left
- income: Record the tax and resource income separately with a + symbol between the two.
- resources: Data must be collected from the city's resource list. Never take data from the economy tab's resource list. It is inaccurate.
Other Data[]
- squarecity:
- Cede all core cities to the nation and play as it.
- Go to Economy tab, click city overview, type 1,000,000 in minimum population, click select. It will show how many square cities there are in bottom left.
- nation = true for Starting Nations and nation = false for Releasables.
Reasons[]
The goal of this document and Module:Nationdata as a whole.
Module:Nationdata is intended to used in Module:Calculator. The priority is for use in formable calculations. Which is why all core cities are required instead of a nation's starting cities.
This means that the income numbers are not to be used in nation and releasable pages. This is due to how capital cities affect resource income which for practical reasons will be considered random.
Other statistics such as resources and population are fine as they are not affected.
