— Description of forming Yuan Dynasty |
The Yuan Dynasty is a formable of Mongolia located primarily in East Asia
. It encompasses Mongolia itself, aswell as
China,
North Korea,
South Korea, and the micro-states of
Macau and
Hong Kong. It can be a considered a stepping stone to Mongolia's other, more famous formable, the
Mongol Empire.
Once formed, it becomes practically on-par with China itself, as most of the base statistics of the Dynasty come from China itself and its Releasables. Without China and its releaseables, The Dynasty is just a bit stronger Mongolia with a modifier.
Background[]
The following is taken from Wikipedia which is licensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0. You can view the article it was taken from here.
The Yuan Dynasty, officially the Great Yuan, was a successor state to the Mongol Empire after its division and a ruling dynasty of
China established by Kublai Khan, leader of the Mongol Borjigin clan, lasting from 1271 to 1368. In Chinese historiography, this dynasty followed the Song Dynasty and later overthrown by the Ming Dynasty.
Although Genghis Khan (the then leader of the Khamag Mongol tribe) had been enthroned with the title of Great Khan in 1206 and the Mongol Empire had ruled territories including modern-day northern China for decades, it was not until 1271 that Kublai Khan officially proclaimed the dynasty in the traditional Chinese style, and the conquest was not complete until 1279 when the Southern Song Dynasty was defeated in the Battle of Yamen. His realm was, by this point, isolated from the other Mongol khanates and controlled most of modern-day China and its surrounding areas, including modern Some of the Yuan emperors mastered the Chinese language, while others only used their native Mongolian language and the 'Phags-pa script. After the division of the Mongol Empire, the Yuan Dynasty was the khanate ruled by the successors of Möngke Khan. In official Chinese histories, the Yuan Dynasty bore the Mandate of Heaven. The dynasty was established by Kublai Khan, yet he placed his grandfather Genghis Khan on the imperial records as the official founder of the dynasty and accorded him the temple name Taizu. In the edict titled Proclamation of the Dynastic Name, Kublai announced the name of the new dynasty as Great Yuan and claimed the succession of former Chinese dynasties from the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors to the Tang Dynasty. In addition to Emperor of China, Kublai Khan also claimed the title of Great Khan, supreme over the other successor khanates: the Chagatai Khanate, the Golden Horde, and the Ilkhanate. As such, the Yuan was also sometimes referred to as the Empire of the Great Khan. However, while the claim of supremacy by the Yuan emperors was at times recognized by the western khans, their subservience was nominal and each continued its own separate development. |
Base Statistics[]
The Yuan Dynasty has a base income of $20,313,278, which, when paired with the Dynasty's base manpower capacity of 8,220,935, can make it one of the strongest nations both economically and militarily.
It has a population of 411,046,736 people, most of which come from China. As mentioned before, these statistics make the Dynasty one of the strongest nations in the game when formed.
Resources[]
Most of the Dynasty's resources, just like most of its base statistics, come from China. For the full list:

Geography[]
Terrain[]
The Yuan Dynasty has many of the same geographical areas as China. With a major example being the Tibetan Plateau covering most of
Tibet,
Guangxi, and
East Turkestan with Semi-Mountainous and Hilly terrain, along with Mountainous terrain in Tibet. The Yuan Dynasty also has a mostly flat terrain, with some additional hills in
North and
South Korea.
Biomes[]
The biomes in the Yuan Dynasty are the Arid landscapes of East Turkestan and
Shanxi and the jungles in
Guangxi and
Hok-giong, with the rest of the Yuan Dynasty having the normal biome.
Strategy[]
Starting Moves[]
Build spam as much infantry as you can in your capital, Ulaanbaatar, and the other city next to it. Build two forts in the cities as well, and electronic factories in both, and then sell the electronics to AI nations once built(I dont think it works). Steel and motor factories can be built as well. Artillery can also be built as well to help your troops defending the capital.
If China is an AI[]
This may seem good for you, however this is unhelpful, as China cannot die easily, cannot collapse into several countries easily except from invasions. Mongolia is very unlikely to be able to invade the rest of China) The good thing is that China will likely become a player in time, and you have breathing room for your starting moves.
If China is a New Player[]
China will very likely spam troops into Mongolia and auto-capture, considering most China players are new players, you will have an easy time. You will still need good defenses. Switch your army doctrine to Massed Attack after your infantry has been built, move your artillery away from Chinese troops very often when China declares war, and spam infantry as much as you can inside your capital. Request for aid as much as possible. Try to take back cities you have lost if you are being ,supplied with manpower, and with the extra manpower and retaken cities, build forts and make troops inside the fortified areas. When China has lost all their troops or left, call in an ally ( Russia or
Japan is recommended, make sure to tell them to transfer occupation, a friend is likely needed as an ally because some players will not comply with transferring occupation.) or make 1.6k tanks to attack Beijing. You will suffer attrition when going to Beijing though, so capture a few cities while going to Beijing. Once Beijing has been captured, while waiting for the collapse of China.
If China is a Typical Player[]
If China is a typical player then you won't have a good or bad time defending against China, there may not be many differences between a typical player or new player. Switch army doctrine to Massed Attack, move artillery away from Chinese troops as they attempt to auto-capture Mongolia, ask for manpower, have an ally attack China and then transfer occupation all the land. If supplied with manpower, then retake a small amount of cities and spam infantry and build fortifications in the cities.
If China is a Professional Player[]
There will be no differences in strategy considering most professional players will still have trouble because they may not have been in a situation against Mongolia before. However, you will need allies such as India, Japan, and Russia to defeat China.
After Chinese Wars[]
You will need to attack the remaining Chinese warlords that have declared independence and unite China. Attack the Koreas if no one has taken it. Attack Macau and
Hong Kong after you have united the Chinese warlords under your nation and form Yuan Dynasty! Make sure that no one takes Chinese land at all, and attack or threaten any small state that takes Chinese land.
If Japan Has Take the Koreas[]
All you need is a stronger navy than Japan to defeat them, weaken their armies in the Koreas if any, then invade with tanks. Weaken their armies in mainland Japan, and then capture all their cities and annex them.
Threats[]
China wanting to form the
Qing Dynasty (Unless you have an extremely nice China player, this is almost certainly going to happen). (COMMON)
Japan will likely want to take the Koreas, and may expand into China. (COMMON)
Russia taking advantage of a weakened and collapsing China and expanding into
Manchuria or other Chinese states. (COMMON)
India expanding into the southern Chinese states. (UNCOMMON-RARE)
Taiwan also taking advantage of a weakened and collapsing China to form the
Republic of China. (RARE)
Kazakhstan might try and take you to form the
Turkic Khaganate. (RARE)
- Any of the Chinese releasables trying to form the
United Provinces of China.
